ProEMS or Camu? Camu goes deeper on accreditation and credits. ProEMS publishes its price.
Camu is the deeper product for a college or university that works to NAAC or NBA, runs a choice-based credit system, or wants one platform for the student record and online learning. Its home page markets outcome mapping and attainment analytics, accreditation reporting, rules-driven course selection, and an exam engine for online and offline exams.[1] ProEMS is a narrower product. It keeps the structures an Indian college works with (program level, program, course, department, term, backlog, subject approval, examination form, admit card and university Excel) next to fees, attendance and report cards, and it publishes its price. Camu doesn't publish pricing,[2] so we can't compare cost.

Checked on 21 October 2026 against Camu's own websites (camudigitalcampus.com and camu.in), its App Store listing and its published case studies, all under Sources. These are mostly marketing pages. "Not stated" means the pages we read do not say either way. It does not mean Camu lacks the feature. We could not open its Google Play listing.
Which should you choose?
Choose Camu if
- your college is preparing for NAAC or NBA and wants accreditation reports, outcome-based education and criterion-wise data in the same system. ProEMS doesn't list any of these.
- you run a choice-based credit system and want credit limits, prerequisites and waitlists in course registration.
- you want one platform for the student record and online learning, with a content studio, online exams and AI-assisted proctoring.
- you need a hostel module, facial-recognition attendance, or parents paying fees online.
- you want REST APIs, webhooks and sign-in through Microsoft or Google, and a larger vendor: Camu's story page cites 700+ institutions.
Choose ProEMS if
- you want the price on the page. Gold is ₹169 per student per year before GST, with a one-month trial and no lock-in.
- your college follows a university scheme and you want program, course, term, backlog, subject approval, examination form, admit card and university Excel built into the product.
- you run a school and a college, or several institutions, and want one product with the wording switched between school and college.
- your fee office needs automatic late fines, suspense payments, bank CSV upload and defaulter reports with SMS.
- you want each institution on its own database and web address, on AWS in Mumbai, with the region named.
What is the Camu ERP portal?
Camu is a campus management platform from Octoze Technologies, which dates itself to 2013 and says Camu launched in 2014.[3] Its home page markets a combined student information system and learning management system, with exam, accreditation, admissions, fees, attendance, hostel, cafeteria, HR and library modules. It sells to higher education and K-12.[1]
If you searched for the Camu ERP portal to sign in: camu.in is the sign-in page for institution users. You pick your institution, then use a username and password, Google or Microsoft sign-in, or a one-time passcode by email or mobile.[22] Students and parents use a separate portal at student.camu.in.[1] Your institution can tell you which link to use. The rest of this page is for people comparing Camu with other college software.
Where is Camu stronger?
Camu is stronger on accreditation, credit systems, online learning and integrations, which is where a larger university-style institution spends its time. This list comes from Camu's own pages, which are marketing pages, so ask for a live demo of each item you need.
- Accreditation and outcomes. It names NAAC, NBA and ABET, and lists SSR, AQAR and criterion-wise reports, with document storage under version control.[9] Outcome-based education maps course outcomes to program outcomes using Bloom's taxonomy and calculates attainment.[10] ProEMS doesn't list either.
- Credit systems and course registration. CBCS registration within credit limits, with prerequisites, live seat counts, waitlists and clash flags.[8] It also describes credit transfer to the ABC and DigiLocker portals and upload templates for the National Academic Depository.[23]
- Exams. Online exam applications, digital hall tickets, moderation, two-stage revaluation, and online exams with live and AI-assisted proctoring.[6]
- One platform for records and learning. A combined student information system and learning management system,[1] plus an AI Content Studio where faculty generate and approve content before publishing.[16] ProEMS has homework, study material, timed quizzes and a learning portal, and no live classes.
- Attendance, hostel and cafeteria. Fingerprint, facial recognition, QR and geofenced attendance.[17] A hostel module with room allotment and gate passes.[18] ProEMS has no hostel or cafeteria module.
- Parents paying online. A gateway for students and parents.[11] In ProEMS only students pay online.
- Integrations. REST APIs, webhooks, LTI and SCORM, Microsoft and Google sign-in, and a list of payment gateways.[12, 20]
- Platform claims. It says it is hosted on AWS with a guaranteed 99.99% uptime,[20] and says it is fully compliant with ISO 27001.[21] These are Camu's statements. Ask to see the certificate and the SLA.
- Scale. Its story page cites 700+ institutions,[3] and its case studies say it supports a college with over 7,000 students and a group that grew to a 10,000+ student campus.[5]
Where is ProEMS stronger?
ProEMS is stronger on a published price, on college structures kept in one place, and on the detail of Indian fee and report card work. Each point names the plan it needs.
- Price and terms. Silver ₹79, Gold ₹169 and Platinum ₹249 per student per year before GST. Hosting and the apps are included, there is no set-up fee, and the trial is one month with no lock-in. Camu shows no price.[2]
- College structures (Gold for exams, results and subject approval). Program level, program, course, department, term, backlog handling, subject approval, examination form, admit card and university Excel sit in one product. Camu's exam and university pages do not mention backlog handling or a university Excel format.[6, 7]
- One product for schools and colleges. A trust with a school and a college runs both on ProEMS, with Council List and nominal roll exports, report cards, a rank list with percentile, and transfer certificates. Camu's school page does not mention report cards.[24]
- Fee office tools (Gold and Platinum). Automatic late fines, suspense payments, bank CSV upload, the daily collection abstract and defaulter details with SMS to defaulters. Camu's fees page does not mention late fines.[11]
- Where the data lives. Each school has its own database and web address on AWS in Mumbai, with an encrypted database, daily backups and 7-day point-in-time recovery. Camu names AWS but no region, and describes its platform as multi-tenant.[20] ProEMS schools do share the same AWS servers.
What ProEMS does not do
ProEMS doesn't list an outcome-based education module, NAAC or NBA accreditation reports, credit-limit course registration, proctored online exams, a cafeteria module or AI features. It has no live online classes, no hostel or inventory module, and no GPS or live bus tracking. It has no WhatsApp messaging, no Tally link or accounting export and no payslip PDF. Parents cannot pay fees online, and nothing is sent automatically before a fee due date. There is no two-factor login, the interface is English only, and the apps have no admin screens.
What should a college test in a demo?
Use your own files, not the vendor's sample data. These tests show quickly where each product fits. Our guide to choosing a college management system has the longer list.
A student with a backlog
Fail one student in one subject and carry the paper forward. ProEMS handles backlogs in exams (Gold). Ask Camu to show it.Examination form to admit card
Run one student from exam form to admit card. Camu lists online exam applications and digital hall tickets.[6]One accreditation table from your own records
Ask each vendor for a criterion-wise table. Camu says it produces NAAC and NBA reports.[9] ProEMS doesn't list them.Subject choice and registration
Ask for a registration with a credit limit and a prerequisite. Camu describes both.[8] ProEMS has subject approval by staff.A fee case with a late fine and an unmatched bank credit
ProEMS adds late fines automatically and holds unmatched bank credits as suspense payments (Gold). Ask Camu to show both.A written quote
Camu publishes no price, so get the figure for your student count and the modules you need, with what is extra.
How much does Camu cost?
We can't tell you, because Camu doesn't publish pricing (checked 21 October 2026). Its site offers a demo request form and shows no plans.[2] Review sites may show a starting price for Camu. Those are listing fields, not quotes, and we don't repeat them.
Ask for the figure for your student count, and ask what is included: the student information system, the learning platform, the AI Content Studio, accreditation, hostel and cafeteria. Ask where the data is hosted, since the region is not stated.[20]
The ProEMS price you can work out yourself.
| Students | Silver | Gold | Platinum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 students | ₹39,500 | ₹84,500 | ₹1,24,500 |
| 1,000 students | ₹73,075 | ₹1,56,325 | ₹2,30,325 |
| 2,000 students | ₹1,34,300 | ₹2,87,300 | ₹4,23,300 |
| 3,000 students | ₹1,89,600 | ₹4,05,600 | ₹5,97,600 |
The pricing page has the bands and a calculator. For a college, Gold covers fees, exams and results, and Platinum adds admissions, library, transport records and payroll.
Does Camu work for schools?
Camu sells a school ERP as well, and lists school, college and university pages side by side.[1] Its school page covers fee management, a student information system, QR code attendance, a library feature and accreditation, and mentions CBSE and ICSE in connection with accreditation. It does not mention report cards or transport.[24]
Most of this page is about colleges. If you run a school, our ProEMS and Vidyalaya comparison looks at a school-first ERP.

FAQ
Common questions
Short answers. The sections above have the detail and the sources.
- Does Camu publish its price?
- Not on its own websites. We checked on 21 October 2026: the site offers a demo request form and shows no plans or amounts. ProEMS publishes its prices: Silver ₹79, Gold ₹169 and Platinum ₹249 per student per year before GST.
- How do students and parents log in to Camu?
- Camu's home page links students and parents to a separate portal at student.camu.in. The page at camu.in is the sign-in page for institution users, where you choose your institution first. Your institution can tell you which one applies to you.
- Where does Camu host its data?
- Camu's technology page says it is hosted on Amazon Web Services and does not name a region. It also claims multi-region encrypted backups and a guaranteed 99.99% uptime, with no SLA terms shown. ProEMS hosts on AWS in Mumbai, with daily backups and 7-day point-in-time recovery, and publishes no uptime guarantee.
- Does Camu have a mobile app?
- Camu's mobile page describes MyCamu apps for students, parents, faculty and management. Apple's listing, Camu Staff App, is from Octoze Technologies Private Limited and lists English and Thai. ProEMS has Android and iOS apps for staff, students and parents, with no admin screens. The iOS listing is titled ProIMS.
- Can parents pay fees online in Camu?
- Camu's fees page describes an online payment gateway for students and parents, by card or net banking. It does not say whether payment works inside the mobile app. In ProEMS only students can pay online, on the web. Parents can see fees, and the apps take no payments.
- Does Camu support NAAC and NBA reports?
- Its accreditation page names NAAC, NBA and ABET among the bodies it supports and lists SSR, AQAR and criterion-wise reports. ProEMS doesn't list NAAC or NBA reports. A college that needs them should ask Camu for a demo with its own data.
- Does Camu work with Tally?
- Tally is not mentioned on Camu's fees or integrations pages. Ask Camu directly. ProEMS has no Tally integration and no accounting export, so your accountant posts totals from ProEMS reports.
- Is ProEMS cheaper than Camu?
- We can't say. Camu publishes no price, so there is nothing to compare. Ask both for a written quote for the same student count and the same modules.
